Wild Dharma Eco Resort is a seamless integration of a

boutique eco resort, world class health spa and purpose built yoga and meditation retreat centre.

We are situated on the wild and beautiful west coast of Palawan in the Philippines.

COMPANY SUMMARY

     

The owners are seeking additional funds of PHP 35,000,000 to finance this venture.  Most of the expenses will be for resort construction as the property has been secured.

We are offering 25% stake of the business for the investment.  Every PHP 1,000,000 of investment will buy an investor 1% share in the net profits of the business.  Investors will start receiving their share in the third year, and would be eligible in the fifth year to opt for a buy-out option of their shares by the owners.

MARKET ANALYSIS SUMMARY

 Our extensive research give us great confidence in the economic climate for our venture. Many of the market indicators are expanding. The economic climate in Asia is leading the world, especially South East Asia. The tourist industry continues to expand dramatically in the Philippines. Palawan itself, and San Vicente in particular, are set to expand dramatically as the San Vicente international airport has recently been completed. All of our target markets are expanding also, including wellness tourism, yoga/health tourism and eco tourism. 

WELLNESS, YOGA AND ECO TOURISM ARE 3 OF THE FASTEST GROWING SEGMENTS IN TRAVEL.

     Our business model integrates all of these expanding market segments giving us a very positive outlook in every aspect of our proposed business.

There is a lot of cross over markets in our niche.

An eco tourist is also into health and yoga and vice versa.

We will be targeting the retreat and training groups within the Yoga community as well as health and eco packages, or corporate groups.

More and more, these niche markets do not operate independently of each other.

MARKET SEGMENTATION

MARKETING STRATEGY

A recent SRI international study on "wellness" tourism states that—'a wellness tourist can be simultaneously an ecotourist, a cultural tourist, and a sports tourist. There are many opportunities to cross-market niche tourism products to these potential customers. More and more, these niche markets do not operate independently of each other.'

     Wild Dharma Eco Resort has its own website and advertising/promotion program.  Initially we will utilise social media platforms to promote Wild Dharma.  

     We intend to target the worldwide yoga retreat community, initially drawing on Paul's extensive networks in Australia.  
    We already have strong connections to a large network of yoga groups seeking new and exciting venues for yoga retreats.  In fact we already have groups waiting for us to open.  

We will initially extend personal invitations to these groups.  

     We will also advertise in specific online travel and yoga sites as well as travel forums, health forums and eco tourism forums.

     We will use already existing internet sales platforms like Agoda and Bookings.com. and airbnb

     

One of the benefits of our market, particularly the yoga retreat market is we are targeting groups and trainings. A yoga teacher training is 30 days with around 25 people. Just 10 of these groups will book our retreat village out for the year. these are also repeat customers as it is a central part of the business model of those yoga schools.

Our sales forecast is deliberately modest starting at 10% occupancy in the first year of operations.  We expect numbers to grow significantly in the second year once we have established our position in the market.

    In addition, when the San Vicente airport opens, somewhere around late 2016, we will be perfectly poised

to take advantage of the expected further dramatic growth of the general numbers of tourists in the area.
