EXPLORATIONS IN PRANAYAMA
This retreat will be an integrated exploration of the relationship between presence and the increasingly subtler fields of experience.
We will explore all facets of practice but lean a little more into
prana, pranayama and thedynamics of the subtle body.
Pranayama is an intimate process of apprenticing ourselves
to the subtle and responsive intelligence of life.
Pranayama is essentially about our relationship to life,
the direct living pulse of life freed from the
habituated currents of our past.
Pranayama expands and enriches our capacity for feeling and invites us to be more intimately available for the rich, delicate terrain of the more essential practices of meditation.
A deeper appreciation of the intricate interplay between the activity of mind, subtle energy and the nature of mind
will transform your yoga practice.
This retreat will be of great value to yoga teachers and
experienced students wanting to explore the
deeper dimensions of yoga
Paul has been practicing, studying yoga for over 35 years and teaching for over 30 years.
He draws from his experience in many different styles and traditions and through a practical understanding of their underlying unifying principles, weaves together a cohesive and
integrated approach to yoga.
Paul is a unique voice in the world of yoga and has a way of bringing the sometimes abstract teachings of yoga into ordinary
language, making them accessible and workable in our lives.
Working with Paul is an invitation to the deeper dimensions of yoga and meditation practice.
He continues his studies in integral theory, somatic psychology, developmental psychology, trauma work and comparative religion.
