PALAWAN
The Last Ecological Frontier of the Philippines

What makes Palawan truly extraordinary is not just its beauty, it is its aliveness.
Its ecosystems are intact, its biodiversity staggering, its rhythms still governed by nature.
It is a reminder of what the world once was, and what it still has the potential to become. Palawan is not just a place you visit, it’s a place that imprints on your soul. A wonderland for the senses, a sanctuary for the spirit, and one of the most breathtaking ecological treasures left on Earth.

Renowned
underwater explorer
Jacques Cousteau described Palawan as the most beautiful island he had ever explored.
Wild Dharma is located on the stunning, west coast of Palawan.
A breathtaking ecological sanctuary with abundant endemic wildlife and rich marine life.
Our 7 hectare beach property truly is a rare and pristine paradise.
One that offers endless opportunities for intimate, immersive encounters with
the regenerative beauty of nature.
OUR WHY
A WORLD IN CRISIS
Building a regenerative future
Humanity is at a critical juncture,
We are living in turbulant times. We are facing multiple escalating environmental crises, deepening social divisions, widening inequalities, and cultural polarisation.
These global challenges are exacerbating a growing sense of personal alienation, chronic health issues and a deepening mental health emergency. All this is leaving many feeling adrift and anxious about an uncertain future.
These crises emerge simultaneously within us, among us, and around us, in nature.
The layered complexity of these interconnected challenges has been termed a Meta Crisis.
To meet these challenges effectively, we need an integrated approach that address the personal, the social and the environmental domains.
THE META CRISIS

The Human Element
“The connection between what we are doing to the planet,
and what we are doing to ourselves,
isn’t a metaphor”
Arianna Huffington
THE META CRISIS IS FUNDAMENTALLY A HUMAN CRISIS.
A CRISIS CREATED BY A DISCONNECTED AND ALIENATED HUMAN CULTURE

Wild Dharma aims to not only enhance individual physical and mental health, but to awaken a deep sense of connection, meaning, and purpose, a vital resource needed to help us navigate the challenges of the coming century.
At Wild Dharma, we don’t separate personal wellbeing from our relationships each other or the planet. We see them as one living system, a seamless triad of
human, social, and ecological flourishing.
Wild Dharma is a deep immersion in regenerative living.
PROBLEMS WITH TRAVEL
Travellers are frustrated with industry greenwashing
The traditional tourism model, characterised by mass travel and its focus on maximising visitor numbers and profits, has led to a wide range of negative impacts on both the environment and local communities. These include environmental degradation, over-tourism, depletion of natural resources, pollution, loss of biodiversity, cultural erosion, and the siphoning of tourist dollars out of the region by large developers.

As tourism footprints expand, the need to address these unsustainable practices has become increasingly urgent.

87% of travellers
say they are
frustrated with industry greenwashing and are overwhelmingly seeking genuinely sustainable travel options that benefit the people and places they visit.

7%
Only 7% of resorts are eco resorts, and a fraction of this are genuinely regenerative.
Wild Dharma is nudging the travel industry into the future.
Travel itself can contribute to the transformation of the world.
The tourist industry, if done right, can become a global network of regenerative hubs offering practical solutions for the many poor communities and bio-regions it touches.
WHAT IS REGENERATIVE TRAVEL

Regenerative travel is the new, best practice in our ongoing journey towards a more sustainable future.
Regenerative tourism goes beyond the traditional notions of sustainability. It offers an important set of systemic design solutions to rethink and rebuild the tourism industry. Rather than merely trying to minimise harm, it introduces systems that significantly improves local economies, preserves local cultures and regenerates eco-systems while offering memorable, authentic life-changing experiences to guests.
Reimagining Travel as a Catalyst for Transformation
In a world marked by fragmentation and crisis, we need places that embody a different vision.
A vision that champions connection and offers living examples of coherence, beauty,
and a regenerative relationship with life.
We envision a transformed travel industry as a global network of regenerative hubs,
“islands of coherence” in a troubled world.
More than merely destinations for rest and leisure, they are beacons of what is possible when human creativity
and care align with ecological integrity and cultural vitality.
Each regenerative resort is a laboratory and a sanctuary demonstrating regenerative design, cultivating community, and offering practices that reconnect people to themselves, to each other,
and to the natural world.
Linked together, these islands form a larger network of intentional sanctuaries pointing towards a regenerative future.
They offer not just a vision, but tangible proof that new ways of living, working, and flourishing are possible when we put our minds and hearts to it.
Such a network becomes a field of influence, gradually shifting culture by showing, not just telling,
what coherence looks and feels like in practice.
Regenerative tourism offers a pathway to a genuinely sustainable and rewarding future for destinations worldwide. By preserving natural ecosystems, enhancing visitor experiences, and empowering local communities, we can transform travel into an opportunity for transformation, growth and resilience,
for guests, for local communities and for the environment.
THE CHANGING TRENDS IN TRAVEL

Travel as a modern ‘rite of passage’
Travel trends show us that travellers want authentic, immersive and transformative experiences, not only for themselves, but also for the people and places they visit.
They want life transforming experiences that affords them the ability to see with new eyes and awakens new insights and perspectives.
We see travel as a modern ‘rite of passage’ in a culture that has forgotten such things. Travel has the capacity to transform, to awaken insight, disrupt old patterns, and reconnect us with what is of most value to us.
Wild Places Heal
The wild beauty of nature clarifies something fundamental in the human soul.
It awakens in us the responsive, relational intelligence we need
to re-imagine our place in the world.
It restores a deep sense of connection and reminds us,
we are all in this together.

Wild Dharma Eco Resort
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be a model and catalyst to transform the travel industry into a global force for good by integrating personal, social, environmental regeneration, empower local communities and cultivate educated, and engaged global citizens through responsible, transformative travel.
“Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is the change that goes on, deep and permanent, in our ideas of living.” Miriam Bear

DESIGN

PERSONAL WELL-BEING
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
ENVIRONMENTALLY REGENERATIVE
At Wild Dharma, personal well-being isn’t a separate activity, it’s a way of life.
We offer an integrated approach that trains body, heart, and mind, so health is something you inhabit in every moment. Daily life here weaves together physical training, emotional and creative expression, mindful and meditative practices, nourishing food, deep rest, revitalising wellness treatments, and unhurried time in the wild beauty of nature.
You can choose from personalised health packages that balance Eastern wisdom and Western analysis, or immerse yourself in focused educational and embodied retreats. However you enter, the journey is one of whole-person renewal of a deep sense of connection, meaning and purpose.
Social responsibility is itself personally nourishing. It restore a sense of connection and meaning.
The main challenges the local people face include Health, Education and Poverty.
One of our central passions is to open a small health clinic that serves the local people who have no easy access to affordable healthcare. This, along with community enterprise that builds on already available resources to generate income and ongoing support for the local school.
All of these programs are available for guests to engage in as a part of their immersion at Wild Dharma for a more integrated and intimate experience of local life.
Palawan is a true ecological treasure, an oasis of extraordinary biodiversity.
While much of its environment remains in good condition, challenges persist. Poverty places pressure on natural resources, and without mindful stewardship, tourism could add to the strain.
At Wild Dharma, our environmental initiatives are designed to protect and restore this rare beauty. These include coral regeneration, planting rare endemic tree species, wildlife monitoring, a turtle sanctuary, permaculture food gardens for a full farm-to-table experience, and the creation of marine and nature reserves that will remain untouched by future development.
The wild, untamed beauty of our sanctuary itself is rare soul nourishment for all who visit.
At Wild Dharma, well-being is more than personal health, it’s an integrated way of living that nourishes connection, meaning, and purpose.
Our integrated regenerative approach cultivates an ever deepening intimacy, with ourselves, with one another, with the richness of local culture, and with the raw beauty of the natural world.
